Which of the two
The choice is size, not standard.
Both are Sueno’s own, both run the same all-inclusive board, and a guest of either may use the other’s restaurants, bars and spa at no charge. What differs is scale, and for a society that decides the evenings, not the golf.
Room counts, sizes and capacities for the winter season, 1 November to 31 March. The two hotels have 174 and 426 rooms.

Our reading, for what it is worth
A golf-only society of twelve to twenty-four should look at the Golf hotel first. A hundred and seventy-four rooms, no kids’ club, and the first tee is downstairs. Seventy-one of its rooms look at the course.
A society travelling with non-playing partners should look at the Deluxe. Four hundred and twenty-six rooms, a full resort behind it, and the walk to the clubhouse is six minutes. You still get the Golf hotel’s facilities either way.
What the board does not cover
Green fees are not included. Say that out loud.
Golf is on Sueno’s extra-charge list. Staying at a hotel called Sueno Hotels Golf Belek does not mean the golf is in the board. That is normal for Belek, but an organiser building a per-head figure needs it stated before quoting their members, not after.

On the spirits, in fairness
Sueno is one of the few Belek properties that names the brands in its included list instead of saying “local and imported”. Ballantine’s, Chivas 12, Johnnie Walker Black and Red, Jack Daniel’s, The Famous Grouse, The Glenlivet, Jameson, Beefeater, Gordon’s, Absolut, Havana Club, Hennessy VS and Rémy Martin VSOP are all included.
The exception is real and we are not going to bury it: the wine list and some premium spirits are charged. Both things are true, and which one you meet depends on what you order.
Arrival and departure
The one that saves a society money.
Eating and drinking
Breakfast at seven, and a bar that never shuts.
These are the winter hours, 1 November to 31 March, which is when a UK society travels. The summer concept runs different times and two more restaurants.
Winter hours; the hotels note they may change with weather, demand and technical factors.
Breakfast at seven
The number that matters if you have an early tee time. Late breakfast runs to 10:30, so the non-players in your group are not being turned out at eight either.
A prize-giving can overrun
Dinner stops at 21:30, but the night buffet opens at 23:00 and the Greens Bar and the Lounge Bar do not close at all. This is the opposite of the 20:30 last orders you meet elsewhere in Belek.
No lunch at the Golf hotel
Lunch is at the golf clubhouse, free to hotel guests. Fine if you are playing. If a non-playing partner wants lunch in the hotel, that is the Deluxe, twelve thirty to half two.

If you travel in the shoulder
Three dates that change the trip.
Heating, 1 November to 31 March
The room air conditioning runs one way at a time: cooling from 1 April to 31 October, heating from 1 November to 31 March. A warm week in early April or late October is a week with no cooling in the room.
Pools heated, same window
Pool heating runs 1 November to 31 March at both hotels: the indoor pool, the indoor-connected outdoor pool and the Deluxe’s thermal pool. A February golf trip still has a usable pool.
Two restaurants shut for winter
The fish and barbecue à la carte restaurants open 1 May to 31 October only. In society season four à la carte rooms are open, all of them at the Deluxe, all at €10 a head, and you may book one per day.

THE ESTATE FROM ABOVE
The golf
Thirty-six holes, and a calendar built so one stays open.
Both hotels play at Sueno Golf Club: the Pines at par 72 over 6,413 metres and the Dunes at par 69 over 5,643. The maintenance calendar staggers the two courses, so from 19 September to 12 October one of them is always open.
It also closes both from 1 to 27 August. All of it, with the hole-by-hole cards, is on the course page.
