Old, New and Verde

Three courses, and the third is a nine.

Gloria calls itself the only forty-five-hole golf resort on the Turkish Riviera. The forty-five is two championship eighteens plus the nine-hole Verde, and a nine changes what an afternoon round looks like.

The fourth hole on the Gloria Old Course

Old

PAR 72 · 6,529 M

The original, open since 1997, laid out inside seven hundred and seventy-two thousand square metres of pine. Seven lagoons sit within the routing and the greens run up to six hundred square metres.

The second hole on the Gloria New Course

New

PAR 72 · 6,523 M

Six metres shorter than the Old and four more bunkers, with water coming into play across the round. The full four-tee card is below.

GLORIA VERDE · THE SECOND

The nine is not a warm-up

Par 35 over 2,923 metres with twenty-eight bunkers and two large lakes. For a society that number matters in a specific way: a nine-hole afternoon after a full morning round is a realistic second tee time, and it prices differently.

It also gives the club somewhere to put a group while an eighteen is being worked on, which helps in the autumn overseeding weeks.

A number you will see elsewhere, explained

Gloria also sells two composite routings, Select Old and Select New, each eighteen holes and par 72, at 6,492 and 6,350 metres. These are combinations drawn from the three courses above, not extra courses. Gloria has three courses and forty-five holes; a listing that says five has counted the composites twice.

The eighth is where the tee choice bites

Four hundred and forty-three metres off the white, three hundred and sixty-three off the yellow. Eighty metres, the biggest gap on the card. Play your society off the whites for pride and this is the hole that collects.

A ninety metre par three

The seventeenth off the red tee. That is not a criticism; it is a card set for four different standards of player, not shortened by a fixed percentage.

Stroke index runs to a pattern

Odd numbers on the front nine, even on the back, so neither half is loaded with the hard holes. That matters if you are splitting a society across two tee-time blocks or running a shotgun.

The 2026 calendar

Three courses, staggered, with one gap in October.

Gloria staggers the closure dates of its three courses so that something is always open. Side by side, there is one week where the stagger runs thin.

21 – 28 OctoberOpenOpenOpen: no buggies

After winter overseeding, no buggies are allowed for 14 days from each course’s reopening date.

The two days to avoid

On 4 and 5 October two of the three courses are shut and the one that is open, the Old, is inside its no-buggy fortnight. A society landing that week gets one course, on foot. It is the only point in the year when the stagger does not protect you.

The wider point: from 22 September to 28 October at least one Gloria course is buggy-free at any given moment. If your group has anyone who cannot walk eighteen, that six-week window needs checking hole by hole before deposits are taken, not after.

Handicap limits

The reason we would put a mixed-ability society here.

Every Belek club sets a maximum handicap, and they are not the same. This is the comparison across ten courses, and it is the table most likely to decide where your group should play. The spread is twelve shots for men and sixteen for women.

The practice ground

This is the part that has no equivalent in Belek.

If your society runs a coaching morning, or if half the group wants to hit balls while the other half plays, the difference between Gloria and everywhere else in Belek is not close.

The covered TrackMan bays on the Gloria driving range

THE TRACKMAN RANGE

Forty-eight bays, each with a screen

The club describes its range as the first full TrackMan range in a European resort. The specification: doppler radar in forty-eight covered bays, each with its own 27-inch touchscreen showing ball speed, carry, launch angle and shot shape.

Indoors, the academy house runs PuttView, PuttView X, SAM Putt Lab and Quintic. The club has partnered with Phil Kenyon, the putting coach many of the current major winners have worked with, and runs Europe’s first Phil Kenyon Putting Academy: a branded academy taught to his method, not a week with the man himself.

A second branded programme runs alongside it: GRF Golf, the ground-reaction-force system built by British PGA professional and biomechanist Marcus Bell. Its four-day school is taught at the academy with Mark Foster, twenty years a DP World Tour player and a Dunhill Championship winner, taking the on-course days. Every teaching professional at Gloria is trained in the system.

Lessons run in English, Turkish, German and Russian depending on the professional. If nobody in your party holds a handicap certificate, the club issues one through membership of The Gloria, which is useful before you tell a member they cannot play.

Gloria Sports Arena

The reason a society with two bad backs in it should look here first.

Most society trips have a member who is one awkward swing away from sitting out three days. Gloria is the only estate in Belek where the answer to that is on site, not a taxi ride away. The Sports Arena is a 105,000 m² sports complex on the same estate as the golf, and its sports-medicine centre runs a golf-specific programme.

What this is for

Not a spa. The procedures are diagnostic and rehabilitative: postural and spine screening, balance and weight-transfer testing, electromyography, isokinetic testing, an underwater treadmill, manual therapy and golf-specific personal training, delivered by sports physicians and physiotherapists.

For a society this changes one calculation. A member who tweaks something on day two does not automatically lose the rest of the week, and you are not trying to find an English-speaking physiotherapist in Antalya on a Sunday.

Treatment availability, opening hours and cost are confirmed for your dates.

THE CLUBHOUSE

Tournament record

A course that has hosted the real thing.

Gloria has staged European Senior Tour events, the Turkish Amateur Championship, the 2012 World Team Amateur Championships, the PGAs of Europe Beko Classic and four editions of the European Challenge Tour’s Turkish Airlines Challenge: twenty-five events between 2014 and 2023.

For a society this is not vanity: a course that hosts tour events is a course kept to a standard, with staff used to running a field, not just a fourball.
