Regnum Carya
& The Crown

Two hotels on one estate, with a free shuttle to two golf courses, one of which is lit for all eighteen holes. The golf itself is not included, and we would rather say that on the first screen than the last.

The part that costs money

“Luxury All Inclusive” does not include the golf.

Green fees, lessons and swing analysis are extra, outside the board basis. What the hotel does include is the getting there, and one meal a day at the club.

Night golf, confirmed twice

Guests get access to what Regnum calls Europe’s first fully floodlit eighteen-hole course at Carya, so night golf is on.

We confirm the months, hours and price with the club before we add an evening round to a quote. The Carya and National course guides have the full picture.

Carya or The Crown

Stay at The Crown and you get both hotels. Stay at Carya and you do not.

This is the most useful detail at Regnum, and neither hotel puts it in a headline. Regnum The Crown guests have “full access to Regnum Carya”: pools, restaurants, bars, lounges and spa. Regnum Carya guests can use a list of named venues at The Crown, and pool access there can be restricted by occupancy.

The Crown

ALL SUITE

Every unit is a suite and the smallest is ninety-seven square metres. For a society splitting into pairs that is a lot of room, and it is the hotel with the wider run of the estate.

The first question a society asks

Two hundred and thirty-five rooms that can be made twin.

Belek resorts are built for couples and families, and a party of twenty-four men wanting twelve twins is not always straightforward. At Regnum Carya three separate room types come as “1 double or 2 single”, and between them they run to two hundred and thirty-five rooms. This is not a problem here.

THE CROWN FLOOR

If your society wants to stay under one roof

Two villas make that literally possible. Tiara Villa is a duplex of 1,500 m² plus 1,300 m² of garden and a 200 m² private pool, and sleeps twelve adults. Crown Villa is a triplex of 3,500 m² with a 442 m² private pool and sleeps fourteen.

Read the pool line carefully. Both are listed as “Heatable* private pool”, and heating is an extra charge, not part of the villa. For an October or March golf week that is a real line on the bill, and it goes in the quote.

There are two Tiaras and one Crown Villa on the property, so book early. For a captain’s week or a milestone trip it is a different proposition from twelve rooms down a corridor.

Food, drink and one warning

There is a draught Guinness bar. There is also a group clause.

Eleven restaurants and thirteen bars are inside the board basis, including a clubhouse breakfast at the golf and a twenty-four-hour lobby bar. Seven restaurants sit outside it. And one condition matters more to you than any of that.

“Some restaurants are extra charge for meetings and football groups.”

That sentence sits under the restaurant list. It does not say whether a golf society counts as a group, so assume it might. Get the list of chargeable restaurants for your booking into the contract before you take deposits, not on night three.

Things that cost you money or time

Read these six before you book the flights.

Every one of these has caught a group out somewhere.

Card pre-authorisationTaken at check-in on every room category, not just suites. Warn your members: their card will show a hold.
Check-in 15.00, check-out 12.00But facilities are yours from 12.30 on arrival day and until 15.00 on departure day, so a late flight home still gets a shower and lunch.
SmokingProhibited in all guest rooms and all public areas. Premium shisha is sold as a separate service.
Age18+ with valid ID to reserve and check in alone. Alcohol 18+.
VisitorsLobby only, 10.00–18.00, maximum 30 minutes.
DronesBanned across both properties, which matters if somebody is filming the trip.

One good surprise

The higher suite and villa categories include a golf cart allocated to the room: one for some categories, two for the top ones, four people each. That is a buggy for getting round the resort, not for the course, but on an estate this size it changes the day.
