Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website puts on your device. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others tell us how the site is being used, or support advertising. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, tags) are covered by this policy too.
The categories we use
Strictly necessary. These make the site work: they remember your cookie choices, keep a form session intact while you fill it in, and protect our forms from automated abuse. They cannot be switched off and we do not need your consent for them.
Analytics. These would tell us which pages are read, how people arrive and where they give up. We do not currently run any analytics on this site: there is no Google Analytics tag and no analytics cookie is set. If we add one, it will only run after you accept it, and this page will be updated first.
Marketing. These would let us measure advertising and show relevant ads elsewhere. We do not currently use any marketing cookies. If that changes, this policy and the banner will be updated first.
What is set on this site
With no session, the site sets one cookie: the one that remembers your own choice.
That is the complete list for a visitor. WordPress also sets session cookies for people who log in to administer the site; those are never set for ordinary visitors.
Connections that are not cookies
Two parts of the site load files from other companies. Neither sets a cookie on your device, but both can see your IP address, because your browser has to ask them for the file. We list them here because a privacy notice that only covers cookies would be telling you half the story.
Cloudflare Turnstile is there so the enquiry form is not filled in by machines; it replaces the kind of puzzle test that tracks people across sites.
Changing your mind
You can reopen the cookie settings at any time using the link in the footer, or the small consent icon on the page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Third parties
Where a cookie is set by someone other than us, we name them in the table above. We do not control how those providers use the data they collect; their own privacy notices apply.
Changes
If we start using a new cookie we will update this page and, where consent is required, ask you again.
